FAQs
We've put together some of your questions. If you have a specific question not listed here, just get in touch at info@misskiddy.com
How have we perfected our show?
We’ve paid our dues in countless gigs and we’ve spent hours rehearsing and picking tunes that will make your night one to remember. We’ve hosted awards shows, entertained the rich and famous. We’ve been flown across the globe to entertain diplomats and dignitaries, played at weddings so exclusive we had to leave our phones at the door.
In a nutshell, we’re professionals. We don’t mess around when it comes to you having fun, and we’ve been around the block a few times so nothing phases us. We have a few tricks up our sleeves to make sure your special event is memorable for all the right reasons.
Where have we performed?
If you’re after a polished, professional act who have a track record of playing at high-end events and venues, you’ll be glad you came across Miss Kiddy and the Cads.
We have loads of experience performing at international corporate and private events. We’ve performed for the New Year’s Eve ball at The Dorchester for two years running –as well as other top London hotels such as the Savoy, the Waldorf, the Lanesborough. We’ve headlined the launch voyages of The Spirit of Discovery cruise ship by SAGA, held a weekly residency at The Rosewood Hotel in London, and were featured at Simpson’s-on-the-Strand’s re-opening party. We’ve been flown halfway across the world to entertain dignitaries and Bollywood stars.
We’ve done weddings and parties galore; some of these were so exclusive we’re not allowed to mention them!
Is Miss Kiddy and the Cads a Vintage Band?
Not really, no. While we have instruments such as trumpets and double-basses, and we favour a tailored suit and sequined sparkles, we don’t fall into the “vintage band” category as the music we play is contemporary and presented in a modern way. However, we are able to tailor our look and our style to match a range of vintage themes if you so desire it. Miss Kiddy’s wardrobe is extensive! O
Our theatre shows play with the fact that the band is from “1945” as a storyline but as far as your event is concerned, we’re very much a product of 2022, only bringing the style elements of classic Hollywood and our re-discovered covers. Imagine being at the most exclusive Oscars after-party… there’s no dress up going on here, only the fanciest of dress for the most decadent of events!
